Margarita Pineda Medellín 1975

Margarita Pineda is a multi faceted artist from Colombia who lives in Mongat. She has a degree in Fine Arts and is currently working on her PhD. She made a doctoral thesis on “Public Space –Urban Regeneration: Art and society” at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Barcelona University.

Tea Room

Tea Room is a project by the Salonnières group formed by Laura Cardona, Ester G. Mecías, Cèlia Prats, Meritxell Romanos and Marta Xibillé. Saló de te constructs a space where people can meet others linked to production and thought in contemporary art. With this action new lines of communication and an exchange of knowledge are developed.

This young artist works with video, audio and other multimedia tools. Currently he is studying at the Elisava Higher School of Design.

Verònica Aguilera Barcelona, 1976

She holds a degree from the University of Bellas Arts Sant Jordi in Barcelona, and lives and works between Mataró and Frankfurt. Her work is set in projects related with plastic art concerning critical intervention and social interaction. She has a long list of exhibitions of her works.

Cecília Postiglioni Buenos Aires, 1974

She holds a degree from the faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning at the University of Buenos Aires and a higher technical certificate in Plastic arts from the Escuela Llotja in Barcelona and lives and works in Mataró. Her work is a reflection on urban planning, social construction and being uprooted from one’s cultural environment and how one’s identity can be shaped depending on how these interact. She has a long experience in exhibitions showing her own work.

Mataró Group

A group from Mataró is dedicated to audiovisual creation, searching for new ways of expression in the fields of short films, video clips, spots, etc. The group is made up of:
Mònica Anglada Mataró, 1982 Mònica Anglada is a graphic designer and has a degree in advertising and public relations with a PHD in Art Management. During her stay in Can Xalant she was editor and art director of several videos; she has also worked with illustrations and graffiti murals with the AUM association (Festes de Sant Pere Més Alt, Nau Gaudí, Can Xalant).

Octavi Royo Barcelona, 1981 Carried out one year of science and one year of humanities at the Vilassar High School. In 1997, he won a scholarship of the Ruta de Quetzal and travelled to Mexico. He studies a degree in Humanities at the Autonomous University of Barcelona while doing a course on Cinema Directing at the Quincedeoctubre Academy where he won the first prize for the best video clip and where he made Diálogos, his first short film.
