Within the framework of radio activities which the Centre d’Art Santa Mònica of Barcelona is preparing for 2006, commissioned by Jorge Luis Marzo, Can Xalant has agreed that one of the project’s participants, Mexican Taniel Morales, will be welcomed as artist in residence.
Taniel Morales is a good example of Mexican artists who are working in radio, theatre and in educational environments, getting involved in art and creative schools in the underprivileged parts of Mexico City.
Morales will carry out a sound study during May and June of 2006 in Barcelona and Mataró. This research will then form the basis of radio programmes, along with the creation of a sound file, information displays, workshops and seminars.
